Haskaps of Oz by Yeowarra
Haskaps of Oz by Yeowarra carries a pioneering Tasmanian growing story into an ambitious Australian future.

The knowledge continues
Haskaps of Oz introduced many Australian gardeners to the honeyberry through years of propagation, observation and growing in Tasmania. When Yeowarra acquired the business, the plants and that practical knowledge came with it.
Today, Haskaps of Oz by Yeowarra brings the collection into its next chapter at our family farm and nursery in Irrewarra, Victoria.

Our nursery team propagates and grows haskap plants while building a clearer picture of how different selections perform in Australian conditions. We record establishment, plant form, flowering time, compatible partners, summer response and berry quality.
It is careful, seasonal work. Each crop adds another set of observations, helping us make better decisions about the plants we supply and the genetic material we carry forward.

Inside the nursery
These are the plants and people behind Haskaps of Oz today. The nursery gives us the scale to compare batches, preserve plant identity and follow the crop from propagation through flowering and fruit.

Where we are heading
For gardeners and growers, our immediate work is simple: supply healthy, correctly identified plants in compatible groups, backed by practical growing information.
Longer term, Yeowarra is investing in genetics, selection and research to help bring haskaps into commercial production in Australia. We are working towards flavoursome, juicy berries that can earn a place in fresh produce and future consumer products.

A family farm at Irrewarra
The McMahon family has called Yeowarra home since 1974. Decades of nursery-scale growing, plant selection and practical farming now support the next chapter for Haskaps of Oz.

Labels and growing records connect flowering, establishment and fruit observations to the selections in the nursery.
Plant sales support the work happening now while berry production and food products remain part of the larger ambition.
